You mean not use an ECU at all and just use a vtec controller? Then definately not. If you mean keeping the stock ECU and adding a vtec controller, maybe, expecially if the vtec controller is a V-AFC or a hondata unit. I'm not sure about the original ECU, it depends on what kind of ECU you're starting with.
