I drive the highway mostly. I had it checked out so I'll go until it gets worse or goes away!
I'm pretty sure it's not the rotors. After you press more then that first inch it's smooth as silk and stops fine.
I had a 90 accord that I had to have the rotors turned about every 25000 miles, brake pads lasted past 100000 miles though.
