I can understand the desire to want to upgrade, just what I meant by it was this:
http://www.3sxperformance.com/clutch.asp
Going by thier stats, N/A stage 1 is good for 325ft/lb capacity and sells for $320
stage 2: 375ft/lb capacity for $360
stage 3: 415ft/lb for $390
and it continues up until stage 5 at 600ft/lb for $450
Vr4s come with 310-315ft/lbs of torque, the SL/base models come with 205ft/lbs
the stage one clutch is already capable of handling 120ft/lbs of torque than you have stock(even a bit more than the vr4s have stock). You wont be making that kind of power with bolt-on modifications, so why pay an additional $70 on top of the stage one for all the extra capacity of a stage 3, if you aren't going to need it? If you plan in the future to be dropping in that much money into your N/A, then go for it and just ignore what I am saying completely. But unless you are going with turbo(s) or a supercharger, it seems too 'beefy' for me. Also, the 'beefier' it is, the less streetable it is for everyday use. I know I use my vr4 as my daily driver as well, so while I want it fast as hell, when I do my TT upgrade, I will remain somewhat moderate, simply to balance the daily driver, the street racer, and the occasional trips to the track. Just my .02, but to each his own, so go with what you want. Hope that helped.
