stock vs. stock a vr-4 should take it in th 1/4 mile, in the 1/8, its a driver's race. This is if we are speaking of EVO 8, the 7s and previous dont stand too much of a chance. I would expect an EVO 8 to pull a VR-4 off the line but not by a whole lot. The short gears help the EVO 8 pull hard through around 90-100 mph, but i know the VR-4 will walk an EVO up top because of the gearing and horsepower. Now, if i'm not mistaken, an EVO 8 is cheaper to upgrade, you have to remember, they come stock with a td05 big 16g which is nothing to sneeze at, they can get about 350 to the wheels with just some basic mods, ECU upgrades, and tuning, but you have to remember, they also come stock with fuel mods that will allow them to boost high, and a big 16g can hold down some serious boost.
