I have a 1996 SC2 that hesitates upon acceleration. The most noticeable symptom is that while the AC is on, it tends to stall when braking - just about at the point when the car comes to a complete stop. It rarely stalls without the AC running, but I can pretty much bet on it if the AC is on.

I have to drive with my finger on the AC button during the warmer months, constantly turning it off and back on as I stop. Please help. Any ideas?
