Radio not working
Well the stock radio only the AM part of it was working so I pitched it and bought a brand new radio.. I pit it in hooked it up and the thing worked like a charm. I guess I pushed my luck and thought I would try to install an XM add on to my radio so I pulled it all back apart ran the wires for the XM processor under the seat put it all back in and now the darn thing wont work!!! Im pulling my hair out here I have went over the wire connections like three times and its all good. I checked the fuse under the drivers side and it was good.. checked the radio fuse it was also good.. I went and got the old radio and it would not light up.. So I got a test light and started testing.. I do have power to the connector when I turn on the key but the radio wont turn on.. I tested the wire that should have power 7/24 and NOTHING ???? I look in the manual and its the orange one that is not working right.. looking at the digram it runs to the BCM and from there out to the PDC... I really dont want to start messing with the BCM so I guess here is my question.. would the 7/24 power wire not working make the radio not work at all.. shouldnt it still come on when I turn the key? The red/white wire has juice when key is on. Also this is a 96 Voyager, and although the manual says an orange wire runs to the BCM mine is solid red. Looking at the BCM it is a mess to replace and to take it to the dealer costs a lot? am I wrong?
