Re: If You Could Swap Any Engine Into A 90 Hatch...

Don't assume anything, it makes an ass out of u and me.

I wasn't talking about the B20VTEC. Why would I be? Did I say that. I'm not making shit up, I'm speaking from personal experience. I payed $1250 for my B16, motor tranny, ECU. I WAS going to get the B20, but it was $1700 for motor, trannny, ECU and the tranny and ECU are usless to me so it would be a shitload more money to get the B20 working right in my car. Here's a link. I can't find more because I don't know where people buy motors from really.. B20s are increasinly popular so they keep getting more expensive, and 1st gen B16s are cheap because we and G2 Tegs are the only ones that can really make use of them.
1st gen B16 - $599 - B20 - $699

Also, don't assume that the guy just slapped a B16B head on the B20 block and away you go to 13s its really not that easy. I don't know how much research you've done about CRVTEC, but I suggest you do a LOT of reading. If you want it to be reliable on a daily basis its going to be quite expensive. If you just slap a head on and are on your way, well.. Watch out.

I see CRV blocks selling all the time for $700, sometimes more. I see B18 blocks selling all the time for anywhere between $2-400. I'll take the extra $500 in savings to build the B18 block for my B16A head.

These are the facts.
