Well, Zoomer, over at ZZPerformance, appears to have done a fairly thorough study on the question of exhaust coatings ( http://www.zzperformance.com/zzp/inf...st_coating.htm).
He seems to really know his stuff, and it appears that his testing methodology is pretty solid. You may want to check it out.
