I love my Makita's w/ adjustable speed limit dial. Came with a velcro mounting base, never had a pad fly off yet. Nice thing is the slow start-up, it doesn't go right to 3,000 or set speed, it slowly gets there. Only problem I've had with one is the cord getting damaged from an employee learning how to use it, almost wrapped the cord around his neck.
I know of a website that sells the makita's for $199.95 - cheapest I've ever seen. It's too bad I found out about the site after ordering 2 from Cornwell Tools - $250 each. I can post the site for you monday - forget the exact site - discounttoolwarehouse.com or something like that.
