I am having a similar issue with my 2001 yukon.

After changeing to synthetic it seems to have a starting issue => starts ok first time and then if started again after 10-15 min it is rough with some smoke.

I have read other threads on MAF sensors and would like to investigate that.

Does anyone know where this deal is located?
