My girlfriend's car, a 93 Lumina Sedan with the 3.1 won't start. The car had been running fine until about two weeks ago it just shut off while turning a corner. There was no sputtering, missing, or other indication that there was a problem with the car. About two months ago, the Ignition Module and all three coils were replaced, and the car ran perfectly since then.
There are no codes--other than the "12" code, which I understand means nothing more than that the car is not running.
There is spark coming out of all of the coil packs, so I'm fairly certain that spark is not the problem. I hear the fuel pump "buzz" when I turn the key forward and I can smell plenty of gas under the hood when I try to start the car. The car cranks and cranks, but won't turn over. The spark plugs are not fouled. I'm curious if maybe there is an inline fuel filter somewhere near the throttle body that may be clogged? Also, I read that it may have something to do with the crank or cam position sensor...but since there are no codes, I'm not sure where to start as far as sensors go.
I plan to finally dig into the car this weekend, so quick replies will be appreciated. Thank You.
