Angry front end clicking noise during light braking

at low speeds when applying light brake pressure there is a clicking noise coming from the driver side front wheel area. Our mechanic has already replaced the brake caliper on the drivers side turned the rotar, and done a front end inspection and can not find anything that looks like it would cause this noise. This noise only occurs when lightly applying the brakes at low speeds less than 20 mph. What could be causing this noise? HELP 97 chevy tahoe...100,000 miles..............
