I have the same car. Here's what to do.Keep it well maintained..PUT an ok stereo in it..enjoy the tunes..baby it..if you're facing serious snow, headwind AND/OR a HILLLLL...relax..ease up on the gas..settle for 45/50 mph in the RIGHT lane..even steeper hills on secondary highways..again..relax..take it out of o/d gear down..ENJOY the fact that it is pretty stable, has ok heat, good defrost.wipers, starts easy in -35C nights..in a howling windy, snowy parking lot near one of the great lakes..AS LOTS of newer vehicles GET TOWED!Holds LOTS of skis/gears..AND a winter sleeping bag 'case it conks out MIDDLE of nowhere.Easy to fix, cheap on parts..oh YEAH..45mpg Cdn.on the hwy.Sometimes mine is happy at 70 mph..other times..ERRrrr..45/50.You want more power?Buy a 97 or newer(120 horse)...Flogging an 88 horsepower wagon..is a recipe for engine, transmission trouble..the car won't be happy..neither will you..
