208,000 miles on the clock? I suggest you just get the motor rebuilt or replace it. The mileage is really what's giving you problems. The age of the vehicle is causing all of the little issues that the vehicle has out into the open.
Your problem does sound like the oil pump. I don't think you have to remove the engine to replace it, but you will need to do a lot of disassembly on the underside of the car.
As far as the brakes go, you might have a problem with you main brakes. The computer will automatically turn on the ABS light whenever the regular brake light comes on as a result of a problem. Has the vehicle done anything different as far as braking goes? Is the pedal too hard or too soft, or is it still operating normally?
