go speed racer

Most of us here are guys. Most of us have wives (or like me will soon be married). Given this, I'm sure most of us here have gotten some negative comments about driving style or our cars from our women.

We also know how most women feel about any combination of three or more of the following:
Men
Money
Cars
Speed

I would like to waive any implications of stereotyping, sexism, yadda yadda yadda. try to look thru that and just see the point of what I'm trying to say.

So, What do you guys do to deal with your women?

about me:
I started out with a non turbo GTS. That car sucked ass and I wanted something a little more fun so... I upgraded to a GTS-t with a 5 speed. At the time the car was everything I was looking for. It was quick (fast as hell compared to what I had before) and I was finally back driving stick again (which is an obvious must). And for a while everything was good.

Then I started to learn about the car. From there we all know how the learning phase goes and how boost is like crack!

I find myself sitting at about 230 HP and not being satisfied with my car anymore. I have questions to those of you who are higher up on the ladder than me in the skyline foodchain. (before I go spending thousands of dollars):

How much HP do you have?
How fast do you drive (not top speed, just a daily estimate of your style)?
Are you satisfied with your car?
What do you do to not drive your woman crazy?
Tell me what you think about the following philosophy:

I tend to think sometimes that the reason I drive on the fast side of slow most of the time is that my car is not as fast as I would like it to be. I think that if I had a 600HP monster that I could and would more easily be able to just cruise the speed limit. Does this make any sense?
If I had an outlet such as a track car or something like that, some legal way to let it out, would this help with my daily driving style?

I think a part of the problem is that when I try to drive normal I see little assholes in honda cubes fly by me and I want to go shit all over them just to be sure that I can. I believe that If I had a monster that I would be able to just let it go because I would KNOW that I could.

I am asking this because over the years my driving has gotten me in some trouble. Nothing too serious, some speeding tickets and things like that. But the thing that tells me the most that this is a problem is that everyone who has driven with me has commented on my driving. And it's not so much the speed, because I do not speed that much. It's just the acceleration.

My dad once told me that anything mechanical is like a rubber band. You can pull on it a little but then let it go, then pull on it a little bit over and over again for a long time and the rubber band will last. But when you start to pull on it a lot and you do this often, it will break and it will break very soon.

I do not drop ass at 7 grand every time the light turns green. But I will admit that my driving style is very aggressive and is probably not good for my car. I don't want to kill my car.

Sorry about the fluster ufck of a thread.
