I recently brought a '00 SH with 64k mi on it. I brought the car to my mechanic and the car failed emissions due to the CO content reading 12.38 gpm, 10 gpm being the limit. He recommended replacing the O2 sensors. I spoke to the original owner and he had never replaced the sensors before. The mods on the car are: Greddy EVO catback, DC header, AEM CAI, and Random-tech high flow catalytic converter. I would be really upset if I spent the $250 parts + $160 labor on replacing the O2 sensors and the car failed again, so I was wondering if anyone failed their emissions and what they did to fix it and pass. Is there anything else besides the O2 sensor that would lower CO content? Thanks !
