wow, never heard of this one before! ok, you did vary well verifing fuel pressure and lack of spark, which means [most likely], lack of injection. and while theB+ side of the coil doesn't go through the DME, the wildly excessive current going through this circuit which was never designed to handle may have found an alternate ground though the drivers in the DME. unlikely any sensor damage occured but with the key on, make sure you have B+ voltage at the coil, hopefully one set of the conacts in the DME 'main relay' fried. i'd replace this relay and the fuel pump relays anyway. on an '88 they should be under a small relay cover box near the right or left strut tower. if your problem presists, it's likely a 'fried' DME control unit which is in the E-box in the right rear og the engine bay, opposite the fuse box...........by the way, regardless of part store you books, you have the3.5L engine. up to '85 it was 3.3L but never 3.4.
