I replaced thermostat and it locks up as soon as i get on highway. Was running about 3400 rpm at 70 mph....now i run 3000 rpm at 70 mph. Saves on the gas bill. 3 more miles to the gallon highway. $3 part plus gasket and 30 mins of work. Worth a shot.

Thats probably what it is... I was having problems with my 91 going into lockup. When I went to change the thermostat It wasn't even there LOL. I put a new one in and it goes into lockup with out any problem now.
