I heard somewhere else that a VG30DE only adds like 3 pounds, but don't remember where, also don't know how stripped down the car was. You don't have to bolt in a sube rear end, you can install an R-180, or R-200 rear end, 180 and 200mms respectively, although they are more complicated installs. Check out
