I get shit like that all the time. Seems mostly with Toyota Starlet GT's. They've got a whopping 1.3 litre turbo FWD. A true shopping trolly. I've had I don't know how many pull up along side me on the motorway at 100khm (62mph) chuck it down a gear, make this horrible screaming noise from their 2 3/4 big bores and go absolutely no where fast.
Usually I do one of three things.
1. Look over at them, point and laugh. That normally winds them up pretty good to the point I get abused like you just did.
2. Pump my hand up and down like I'm masterbating and laugh. Now that will get them pissed off to all high heaven. I've seen one bloke nearly asshole another car because he was too concerned yelling obsentities at me.
3. I chuck it down and disappear up the road, slow down then laugh at them. Again see #1. for the reactions.

Carrrnuttt: I don't know how to diagnose you, you just like humiliating the real racers in stock cavaliers and Hondas pumping loud rap music out of their stock speakers...Gook Kill though, It makes me wish my daily driver could break into 15's.
