Re: 84 Regal lights don't work
It may be a couple of things: 1) It can be your parking light switch is somehow deffective or disconnected, or 2) It can be the wiring to your parking lights is somehow shorting.
My 95 Regal has different switches for all of the other functions in a collar inside the steering column (brakes, directionals, hazards, reverse). But the parking light switch is connected to both the parking lights and the license plate light.
Check to see if all of the parking lights are working when you put them on (front and back). You can open the trunk and see if the wires leading from the lights have been damaged, but anything more involved than that you might want to go to an auto electrician/alarm/radio expert to check the switch and wiring thoroughly.
