Blowing oil out of dipstick

Greetings,
My son has a 89 Bronco II with a 2.9L engine. The guy he bought it off of had the valve cover gasket replaced within the last two years but never followed up to get the covers retorque. All bolts were finger tight allowing oil to spray everywhere. After getting that problem fixed and replacing the rubber o-rings for the PCV valve and the oil breather cap, most the oil stopped leaking. The problem now is, it blows out of the oil dipstick. After talking with several people, we checked all vacuum lines and all are good. Does anybody know how long the dipstick is suppose to be for a 2.9L engine? The book calls for 5 quarts of oil and that is what we put in it when we change it and the filter. I'm looking for any ideas or things to check.

Thanks

Tim
