yeah, well i own a 90 jeep wrangler, it's a four banger, but i happen to know the 258 very well. you're going to have to fix that vac hose, it's part of your oil problem. after that check out the pvc hard line after the hose, it's prolly partially plugged, building uo pressure in the case, blosing out out yout case air in hose. and buy a new carb, you'll enjoy the reliability and new power. and for a 258, you can use any parts off any other 258, because yu're still in carbutators, go bask all the way till 80 in the cjs for parts. have fun
