I have been doing a ton of research lately to try and decide what motor I am going to end up getting. I have narrowed it down to the b18b or the b20. I have plans to boost the motor next summer (because 140hp is nowhere near satisfying). Anyways, I have been considering the b20 simply based on larger displacement, bore, etc. I feel like I can run more boost through that motor as opposed to the b18b. I'm just curious if anyone has any knowledge on the reliability of using the b18 tranny with b20 motor. I know that b-series motors have mostly interchangable parts, but the fact is: they weren't designed for what i'm doing. I've also basically figured out the b18b and b20 are almost twins of each other, but I'm still nervous mixing parts. I have decided I don't want to do the VTEC head simply because of $ and horror stories. If anyone has any input on this situation at all, plz feel free to share your opinions!
