I have many years of experience in electronics, installation, etc. but never in the import cars. this is my first import and i know that they tend to tie into a lot of plastic and i do not want to ruin anything.

thanks

It's actually really easy to get the stock radio out. Start by removing the entire climate control panel. Put a thin blunt plastic instrument between the trim and the dash material and it will pop out and up. Once that is out, you can remove the entire trim panel around the radio and clock/temp display. Once, that is out, there are only 4 screws holding the radio in. Voila you are finished. If you have the JBL sound system, there is a separate amp in the right front passenger footwell and a special wiring harness with it. Hope that helps.
