I don't have info on your radio , but alot of the factory stereo's used stock speakers with an ohm rating of 16 , while most after market speakers are rated at 8 or 4 ohms . If indeed the factory radio is set for 16 ohm load then the lower 8 or 4 ohm aftermarket speakers will make the amplifier in the factory stereo run hard regardless of the volume setting get hot and shut down . Without getting in to a full lenth discussion suffice it to say an amplifier has to see a certain load to operate properly , if it doesn't see the proper load then it just runs wild........Hope this helps
