I hear about the reliability line all the time. Having owned these cars a combined 13 years (2 overlapping) I can say there were no more problematic than any other car I've owned the last few decades. The issue with them is that the same repairs and parts are more expensive then for other cars.
The cars are a blast and are among the best looking cars on the road. You just have to have some cash for insurance, gas (premium) and the occasional expensive part.
