Have you checked if your belts are tight? Also, I noticed with my belts that when it got cold, and my car iced up, the belts would squeal when i first started it up (i'm guessing the belt was sorta iced up too?). If not, I'd check to make sure they are tight, and if they are cracked, or worn, then I'd replace them.
They are not too difficult to change (as long as you know where the two tensioners are at), but I do have trouble in judging how tight to make them. And the two belts are for the different accessories. One goes to the right side, and the accessories there, the other goes to the other accessories, like the power steering on the left side. That's why the crank pulley looks like it does (stepped), cause it has the two belts on it.
