here is my solution to adjusting the type-s BOV that i copied and pasted from a thread titled 'GReddy'

but really... i made a mark with a marker [duh] so you have a reference point to start at. harden 1 revolution and take it out for a spin. when i take mine out i will test the characteristics of closing the throttle at high rpm/boost regime in, say, 2nd gear. if it is too loose, it will blow with the slightest change of throttle position. too tight and you will jerk and hicup the engine. adjust accordingly and you should be fine in all regimes of everyday driving. now if you want to race just harden like 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn and you will be fine.

that should help out. that nipple isn't connected on mine either. i constantly played with the adjustments for probably months and i am very comfortable with it now, and i have found it has a sweet spot that whistles when you are in it.

as for the b-spec II there was a huge thread about it that just passed try a search on 'profec' and you should see it. i love mine and i think a 5 yr old could tune it correctly.
