Actualy there is NO god and screaming that there is won't change it.
I totaly agree with you steel, most religions, (especialy christainity) are based on very little, and contain a lot of contridictions illogical statements and inrationalities.
But then if they didn't they wouldn't be religions.
If people want to believe in some higher power like a god becuase thats what keeps them happy and makes thier life fullfilled then good on them. Chances are the're living a much happier life than those who have yet to accept thier own existance. (although some would argue that be falling into religion they have denied thier true existance, but I don't totaly agree with that).
However I would much prefer they kept it to themselves. I don't care and dont want to know about how woderfull you think Jesus is, Iv been there, I was raised with it and schooled in it, and well all I can say is as far as im concerned its crap. And if you want to talk to me about it I will happily point that out to you. (unless I like you.

As for believe in god being Narrowminded, well it all depends on why you believe in god, and how you interput what "god tells you", as well as a whole host of other factors.
e.g. J W Bush = ignorant.
Yogs = not ignorant.
