So yeah... you can interchange the distrubutor but you will have to cut a leg off and depending on what plugs are on your harness you might have to do some rewiring.

The B18 you speak of was a B18A or B18B right? The reason you had to cut the leg was vtec and non vtec distributors have different bolt patterns, but the B16A and B18C distributors are the same with respect to bolting on, just the wiring from the different OBD gens. is the problem.
