when your BATT. light comes on it means your alt. is not charging.
or you ECU is not seeing the charge. Check the green 4 pin connector that clips into the back of the alt. sometimes they don't snap in all the way. Check your voltage with a meter while the car is running, it should be 14v-14.6v.
