I have 99 burb. At 30K miles waterpump started leaking bearing oil through weep hole. Replaced it myself. You didnt say what type of truck this is but two biggest issues to watch for, if this applies to your truck:
1) Had to buy a pulley holding tool for like $30 from autoparts store just to get the pulley off the water pump. These are like giant scissors that hold the smaller bolts while you use a large wrench (like 22mm or larger can't remember) to turn out the shaft nut.
2) Coolant needs to be drained completely out of the engine. You will never get all coolant out unless you undo the coolant drain plugs in bottom of block. The new dexcool needs to be mixed precisely at 50/50 and use a measuring cup. There are lots of threads here about problems with Dexcool when not mixed correctly and/or exposed to air from not being topped up.
