***5-STAR SHINE--UPDATE*** as i stated in a previous post here, i applied 5-star to my car a week & a half ago. after a week of heavy rain & i washed the car yesterday, the once slick finish & water beading is diminshed. also, under the rocker panels behind the wheels & the lower fenders there is no beading at all now. it's completely washed off in those areas. i'm not saying 5-star is a bad product, just that it's not anything special--it's just like any other paint sealant that needs to be re-applied often--even more so after bad weather, i'm saying that their claims are false. buyer beware! i buy liquid glass in a 16 oz can for $17.99 & for $69.00 you get 2 oz of 5-star shine! what's the better deal? i owned many cars which i always took care of. i tried many waxes/polishes over the years. i still yet have to find something that stands up more than a few months at best to cleveland ohio winters, hot summers, heavy rain, ect. there were times when i actually bought several polishes/waxes & waxed certain parts of the car with them & logged the info on paper & it makes me laugh how none of them live up to their "guaranteed" results. everyone makes outragious claims about their products. i just picked up a can of turtle wax "super hard shell" wax in a store that says that one application lasts a year, when actually it washes off after a few washes! i didn't buy it! at least liquid glass is honest--it says on their can that it has to be re-applied periodically! i'm not here to bash any product (not my style)--i'm just laying out facts as i see them from actual use....... p.s., i'm embarrased to even have fallen for their slick advertising/claims. i know better than that! i polished cars for 25 years! i know what works & what does not. there is many products out there with fancy/scientific names, misleading claims, & terminology, but the way i see it, you have 2 choices--natural waxes, or chemical based paint sealants.
