You have to have the SE1 option for fold down rear seats. If you have a base SE, you don't have fold down rear seats. If you have them, when you open the trunk, you'll see two canvas straps near the top opening of the trunk. When you pull on these straps, it releases the seat lock, and you can fold down the seat. I've had problems where the lock snaps back into place by the time I get to the seat to fold it down, so it's easier if you have two people to do this.
