The good news is that you can put the pressure sensor where you want to - in the hole by the oil filter, or you could put in in the hole (also with a plug) up by the distributor.

The hole on the passenger side is for the dip-stick tube. (a strap holds the tube to an exaust manifold stud) I don't really know of a good reference for the holes though.
