First remove the negative cable from the battery.
The easiest way to get to the alternator imo is:
Jack the passenger side up on the front, remove the front tire,
in order to get to the lower bolt and nut. Try to get the top one from above.
While you're down on the bottom bolt, now is a good time to remove the battery cable, and alternator plug.
Once the bolts are all out it'll take some work to get it out from that side but it's easiest.
As for the parking light, one filiment in the bulb must have blown, replace it.
And the headlight: It could be just stuck, with the headlights turned on remove the rubber cover over the top of the motor, and turn the knob a couple times in either direction,be carefull when the motor catches it'll go by inself and can hurt your hand if you're not carefull. If it pops up on it's own , you'll have to adjust it using the same knob, to get it back in proper place , otherwise it'll be out of line.
If that doesn't do it, then check the fuses to the headlights in the fuse box under the hood.
Still doesn't work? The motor may need to be replaced. If you need help at all with any of this just email me at

Good luck.
