Also, it's a huge cause for discussion, but IMO your exhaust should flow as much as possible, I do not believe that it causes low end power loss. Now if you go putting on headers then it's a different story. Headers have the greatest effect on your power band. Header tubes should be very long on the street, this is the "tuned" section of your exhaust. Long tube headers will keep your torque band down at streetable levels, while shorty headers are most effective at 8500 rpm(just an approximate), not very useful at all, especially on a V6.
