Well someone saw it - took exception to it - and outed Joe Wilson's wife, Valerie Plame, as a CIA agent heading a team on WMD. This put herself, her operation and all of her contacts and subordinates in mortal danger. It's a Federal offence.
Joe Wilson, measuring his words very carefully, mentioned the name Karl Rove. So far, no conviction or even a defamation lawsuit from Karl Rove.
