I had a sticking accelerator pedal and the dealer installed a new throttle bottle/or parts. That was a couple of months ago at around 30,000 miles.
There was a service bulliten issued concerning this........ don't know the number.

I think I've read somewhere since that GM has revised the service bulliten to: instead of replacement they recommend cleaning first to see if this alleviates the problem. If that doesn't work, then they consider replacement.

I'm going to do the throttle body by-pass.......... I'm thinking that maybe heating the throttle body causes quicker accumulation of residue. Maybe someone who has done this by-pass can comment on how many miles they've gone and if they have had any problems with a build-up.
