And I have a friend with a 1987 Chevy S-10 Blazer with what appears to be the same system. Thanks!!!
Dude, you are kinda hard to understand. You never told me if you actually have OEM remotes. Does it have the chevy emblem on it or does it say GM on it, or what? No factory alarm I know does what you state and I have been doing alarms/remote starts for a long time. Now, you could have something like an AM5 alarm unit from DEI that is a piggyback system that ties into the factory keyless enty. Do you have a red light on the dash? Look under the dash for a little black valet button. You say that the lights do not come on when you open the door? Take out the pin switch and check it. They are very simple grounding switches and they fail alot. Not sure what you mean when you say you found another wire there and you lock the doors???? What color is it? What happens if you take that to ground or the white wire? I think the white wire will either rest at (+) or nothing at all. I can't remember right off the top of my head. Try to respond and be a little more clearer and precise in what you state and also your grammer. Don't take it the wrong way but I need to understand your writing.
