Nope, I wouldn't do that if I was you.
Use your fuse block terminals-get some plug-in connectors-they're cheap enuf and run you some wires and put fuse holders in the hot wires so when your heater unravels your electrical tape and shorts one out-ya won't burn ya car down.
Run the POWER lead to the BATT terminal on your fuse block-it's the one that's hot all the time-use a voltmeter or make a test light to find it-connect one end of the test light to a good ground and feel around the unused terminals on your fuse block to find one that lights up the light when the key is OFF.
That's your POWER connection.
Then turn the key on and feel around those empty terminals again til you find one that lights the light AND goes OFF when you turn the key off.
Then connect your ground lead to any metal part of the car's body under or around the dash area.
Where the parking brake release mounts or where a trim piece mounts to metal is good enough.
Just please-PLEASE use a fuse in your hot leads.
Too many impatient people burn their cars to the ground because they didn't bother with fuses and then kicked or chafed the wire and the next thing they know the dashboard is melting into their laps as blinded by acrid smoke, they try to scramble out of a burning car. Fuses keep that scenario from happening. Wire shorts out/fuse blows/current flow stops/find cause of short circuit/fix it/replace fuse/good to go.
