Stainless turns brownish purple... I have them.
Ceramic does not and it keeps engine temps down.
If you want to be cheap go pick up a can of silver or any other color and make sure it is 2000 F high heat paint and paint the stainless.
It wont be as perfect as ceramic, but it gets the job done.
