Re: What do you think of this setup?

for sure I think you have a bit more power, but not enough to set you on your butt without a cam to go with the setup. Not sure what kind of revs you are running, although an old style performer, p/n 2101 is good to maybe 6000 rpm before it starts to choke things down, and at anything less than max rpm, that double pumper is only making more $$$$ in gas go down the drain, than helping power.

The K&n filter is a good idea, they flow well, and are easy to keep clean. The dual exhaust will help, but it will help more in the bottom end if you take the time to put an H-pipe on it, and some proper headers, not just the stock manifolds.

Try and find a set of "fast burn" heads, they help out in the long run too.

As far as mod on the "old" style intakes, its a matter of hogging out the bolt holes, ( elongating them ) to allow the intake to be bolted to the new style, 87 - up heads.

It will also help to do some port matching of your intake and head, although you may want to leave a tiny step at the bottom of the port to help increase turbulence enough to keep the atomized fuel suspended properly in the airstream.

Just some ideas, been there, done that.
