Re: Steering Wheel Replacment
It isn't that hard. Make sure you disconnect the - battery cable and wait 5 min. if it has cruise take off the switch and unplug connector(2 screws behind on wheel).pop off the steering wheel cover with a small screwdriver, they are locking tabs. then remove the 4 nuts attaching the airbag module which are on the back of wheel. if you have to move the wheel make sure after you remove the airbag you center the wheel and don't move it. unplug the connector. make sure when you set the airbag module down it is facing up. remove the retaining nut. use a steering wheel puller to remove wheel. put new wheel on and torque to 45lbs. put back together as you took it off. proceed at your own risk! if you aren't sure of doing it don't. you can also buy a haynes manual for about $15 and it will tell you how to do anything on the truck that you want.
