Need help with a problem

I am having a problem with my Camaro. It is a 1998 6 cylinder 3.8 liter engine. A few weeks ago the check engine light came on, and started blinking only when I would accelerate. I had it checked and it said there was a misfire in cylinder 6. (I just replaced the plugs and wires less than 10,000 miles ago.) My mechanic looked at it, replaced one of the fuel injectors, cleaned the rest and then put a bottle of fuel system cleaner in with a full tank. This seemed to repair the issue. However, about 800 miles later, the light is one again. This time it is detecting a misfire in cylinder 5. It is idling rough and chugging when I accelerate. It seems to surge sometimes too. A bottle of fuel system cleaner made it a little better, but did not resolve the issue. It now will also blink when I am sitting a light. My plan was to replace the fuel filter to see if that helped...any ideas? I don't want to have to take it somewhere and have them play trial and error until they find the problem.
