Re: LHS 94 Thermostat on H
I just replaced waterpump in my 3.5 what a job , if you are low on fluid be sure to open the vent on the thermostat housing to bleed all the air out of the block you will know this is done when you see a steady stream of water from the bleed valve as you feel the resevoir, start the car let it warm to operating temperature fill to full hot with steady stream of water out the bleeder, tighten bleed screw and you are done, you have to be careful about air blocks, also check your fans be sure they are working correctly you have a low temp for the ac and a high temp for the motor, turn off your ac and be sure the fan is cycling at about 200 degrees, also never trust new thermostats always always put them in water and heat them to the boiling point 212 degrees to make sure they are opening and closing, I have had a couple og thermostats that did not work at all or opened at too high of a temperature.
