hmmm...there are two things i would try. i would widen my stance, but keep the same weight-yes, it will feel lighter. you want light weight when doing mid-section exercises. secondly, i would place my hand that is not holding the weight on my hip to aid in support.
-i wish i could find a picture for the correct form. i can describe it though. lets have the weight in your right hand. feet should stand shoulder width or wider. place your left hand on the waist or hip area, and kick your hips to the left away from the weights. keep your weight balanced or as close to a 50-50 weight distribution as possible.
i may end up taking pictures if anyone cares...this is one of 3 oblique exercises that i do.
