It definately has to be a manual; my Porsche is a manual, and I would not have a car any other way. Whatever I get will *not* be a convertable.
Passenger/cargo room also means nothing to me, if one other person can fit, thats good enough. Also, I do enjoy the rough ride of my present car - when I said comfortable interior, what I mean are seats that won't wear your back out (my seats are hard on the back for rides > 1 hour)...thats all I can think of right now that might be of interest...

I have a 1970 , so i cant really give you alot of pointers on 1991-1996 vettes but, i have ridden in some and have driven a couple. Im 6'3" at 240 lbs..and i found the seating to be tight--not real comfortable for my frame. I think on a long trip, id have to stop and stretch every 2 hours. I was very disappointed with the ride in the ones i drove...feel every bump and the body was not tight with only 60000 miles on them. The power was very good however. Nice technology. The prices of these years have really come down to whhere they are affordable . Now, i have driven a C5 generation corvette (1997 to present) , and they are VERY comfortable, the ride is real refined and soft, technology is incredible, gas mileage is 26 hwy or better with a 6 speed , and the power is even better than 1991-1996 ; some dont like the body styling, but, im getting used to it now. Im still partial though, to the C3 body style (1968-1982) with the swooping lines etc...which is what i have.
They are all great cars really, and im sure youll be happy with whatever you select. FOr a much better response to y our question...go to : www.corvetteforum.com and enter the C4 forum ---- youll find lot of guys with 1991-1996 vettes in there.
