Replacing the clutch pack isn't totally necessary in a gear swap if there isn't many miles, but it's a good idea to ensure you won't have any problems. There are 3 clutch plates in the rear, a lot of times the tabs break off the plate which is easily visible when the diff cover is removed. I would say, have it rebuilt while its open for the gear swap.
Ok cool. Where can I get the clutch plates any specific brand or make recommended? Over even better can I order them through an online vendor like summit racing? All suggestions are welcome.
